The Parking

Turn into the Florissant Presbyterian Church parking lot and pull around to the very back as far as you can go.  The doors closest to the playground are the fellowship hall doors and the entrance to North Church.  Signs are there to help direct you.  

The Food

Appetizers and drinks are available for your enjoyment before, after, and even during the service.  

The Service

We begin the service by singing 2-3 songs.  This is a time to put aside all of our distractions and open our hearts to hear what God has to say.  Announcements will be made, followed by a time of brief fellowship with one another, allowing time for the children to make their way to their designated classrooms. 

The Bible

North Church believes that the Bible is the primary way that God reveals Himself to us and communicates to us.  Each week we receive the word of God preached and taught for the purpose of seeing God and ourselves with greater clarity.  Rik or Dave will teach the Bible in a way that we can understand, relate and apply it to our everyday lives.  Our backgrounds may differ, but Jesus Christ and His gospel are central to our beliefs and we take this time to explore who He is and what He did. 

Response Time

We want to take time to respond to God and what he is doing.  This time allows you to respond by reflecting on the message and worshiping God.  This may look like sitting and meditating on what you have heard, finding a quiet place in the room and pouring your heart out, or standing and praising God.  Please feel free to respond in the way you feel most comfortable.  There will be a couple of leaders in the back to pray with you if there is something weighing heavy on your heart.  Another way that North Church responds to God is through Communion.  The scriptures tell us that on the eve of Christ’s death, He sat with His disciples in the upper room.  He handed them the bread and said, “This is my body broken for you.”  And in the same way he handed them the cup and said, “This is blood, spilled for the forgiveness of sins.”  Each week we take communion and are confronted with a broken and bloody Jesus Christ and as we eat of it we acknowledge our complete acceptance by Jesus Christ.
